Gambling Literacy Awareness

Responsible Gambling Awareness Week 2013-2014

“Foot in Mouth” – Have you ever said something that you wish you hadn’t? We’ve all been there. Everyone has experienced a time when they wished they’d just stopped talking. This campaign takes a light-hearted look at these moments to illustrate the right time to stop and how that strategy works when gambling.

The Gambling Literacy Campaign is Nova Scotia Gaming’s year-round effort to deliver gambling literacy tips to you through a series of videos and activations across the province.

Using an educational “Know the Game” themed game show approach, the goal is to provide adult Nova Scotians the opportunity to learn through engaging content. In the game show, “players” answer questions about how to keep gaming positive and learn healthy play strategies.

Supportive events each year include in-person activities around the province that highlight the work we do all year long to help you understand the odds of winning and losing, as well as understanding the games you play. Here is an overview of recent campaigns.
